Metro Radio Arena - Newcastle

The Metro Radio Arena Newcastle is the largest concert and exhibition venue in the North East of England and was acquired by SMG Facility Management Worldwide in 2000. SMG are owned by American Capital. Located on the banks of the River Tyne, the Metro Radio Arena is just ten minutes away from Central Station and the Tyne & Wear Metro.

How to get there: Car or Coach
The Metro Radio Arena is only 3 minutes away from the A1 North - South Route. Take the A184 signposted "City Centre", then follow the A189 over the Redheught Bridge. When in the vicinity of the Arena, follow the signs to the appropriate car park.

How to get there: Public Transport
Take the local bus service of Metro to Central Station and the Arena is approximately five minutes walk away. All public travel information is available from the Nexus website or Traveline on 0870 608 2608.

Arena Car Parking Site
There are over 600 car parking places on site that are security patrolled. Alternatively, there are thousands of additional spaces located within five minutes walk of the Arena. Orange badge holders can park at the Arena free of charge at the designated car park, close to the entrance of the building.

Dropping off can be made along Railway Street. Taxis can drop off/pick up here or on Arena Way. There is also a taxi rank at Central Station.
