2005
heralded the dawn of a new Masters tournament. European
glory remains an integral part ot any footballer's
wishlist and with the emergence of the Masters European
Cup, the legends of the game come together once
more to cross cultural swords and sweat blood on
the blue baize to determine who is the best.
The Braehead Arena: Glasgow played host to the inaugural
competition and featured Masters teams representing
Ajax, Bayern Munich, host side Rangers and 2004
Masters Cup winners Chelsea.
What enfolded was breathtaking. end-to-end action
and 48 goals later, we had crowned a NEW European
Champion and blooded a new Masters tournament that
promises to be the perfect precurser to the Masters
Cup.
